Privacy Policy

This policy covers abhinavpandey.com and the Abhinav Pandey mobile app (com.abhinav_pandey) on Google Play. They share one account and one set of data.

1. Information we collect

What you give us. Your phone number (this is your username), your name, and — only if you choose to subscribe to the newsletter or add one — your email address. If you book a counseling session you also tell us what you want to discuss. If you comment, we store the comment.

What is collected automatically. Purchase records when you buy something; which posts and lessons you open; crash reports and basic diagnostics; and identifiers tied to your device and app installation, including an advertising ID on Android. Our analytics also infers an approximate location (city-level at best) from your IP address. We do not collect precise location, contacts, calendar, photos, files, or the contents of your device.

2. How we use it

To sign you in and keep your account; to deliver what you bought; to send notifications you have opted into; to understand which content is read and to fix crashes; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet legal obligations, including tax record-keeping.

3. Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with services that operate on our behalf, and only as far as each needs:

• Razorpay — payments. Your name, phone number and email are passed to prefill the payment form. Your card or UPI details are entered directly with Razorpay and never reach our servers.
• Google Firebase — Analytics, Crashlytics and Cloud Messaging inside the mobile app. These collect app-usage events, crash reports, device and installation identifiers including the advertising ID, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Our SMS provider — delivers your one-time sign-in code, and receives your phone number to do so.
• Amazon Web Services — hosting and media storage.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

4. Storage & security

Data is held on servers in India. All traffic between the app or website and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS); the app does not permit unencrypted connections. Passwords are stored hashed, and one-time codes are stored hashed and expire in minutes. No online service is completely secure.

5. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account yourself, at any time, and it takes effect immediately:

• On the web: abhinavpandey.com/account/delete
• In the app: Account → Delete my account
• Or write to contact@abhinavpandey.com from the number on the account, and we will do it within 30 days.

What is deleted: your name, phone number, email address, comments, likes, newsletter subscription, course progress and enrolments, what you wrote when booking a session, your notification tokens, your password and every active session.

What is kept: if you paid for something, the invoice record — amount, item, date and payment reference — is retained for 8 years as Indian tax law requires. It is stripped of everything that identifies you. Nothing else is kept, and deletion cannot be undone.

6. Your other rights

Under applicable Indian data-protection law you may access and correct your data, withdraw consent, and object to processing. Notifications can be turned off in your device settings at any time. Write to us at the address below to exercise any of these.

7. Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes

Material changes will be announced here and, where they affect the app, in the app. The date above is the last revision.
